What Are Bridges?

A dental bridge is used to fill the gap created by one or more missing teeth. The most common type of bridge is a traditional fixed bridge made of porcelain fused to metal. It consists of two crowns that fit over the anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) with a pontic (artificial tooth) attached in between.
